Been trying to remember an electronica band name all afternoon, suddenly remembered it was Add N To X, I can't even recall why I was trying to remember them, I think one member guested on something I heard earlier and I remembered she was in another band ages ago.
We've swing back over to EBM/Industrial music for a bit, picked up the latest Helalyn Flowers and Psy'aviah albums and the latest I:Scintilla EP. Also had a listen to the lastest Alfa-Matrix promo compilation and immediately skipped past half the tracks as soon as I heard guttural, distorted vocals on it, because apart from KMFDM and Front Line Assembly, I'm done with that style now. Also, I can get away with playing the likes of Ayria and Assemblage 23 in the shop.
I see Front 242 are still lioving on past glory and releasing a second version of their most recent live album, rather than y'know, doing anything new. I do hope Jean-Luc keeps doing vocals for other bands though, because the songs he's done with Front Line Assembly and Psy'aviah blow anything 242 have done since 1994 away.
Been catching up on Warehouse 13 and watched the first few episodes of Eureka. Also watched the crossover episode with Claudia visiting Eureka, with the best entrance ever. "'sup bitches!?!?!" Watching eps of both shows on the same night has lead to a few "I know that face!" moments. Still got Sherlock and Leverage to catch up on. Scooby Doo continues to be a load of fun.
Bioware released a bunch of Mass Effect 2 stats. The disappointing one was that 80% of players chose a male Shepard to play as. Mark Meer, the voice actor is okay, but Jennifer Hale's version is just sooooooooooooooo much better. There's one scene in particular falls rather flat with Male!Shep, but leads to having to take a cold shower with Fem!Shep.
Stan Bush's The Touch is seemingly coming to Rock Band Network, yet another nail in the Guitar Hero coffin. Last year I only picked up GH because osmewhere was selling it half price soon after release, I doubt I'll bother even if the same happens this year. So much awesome in the RB3 playlist.
Am slightly tempted by DJ Hero though, they've seemingly gone a bit less hiphop and more electronica this time round, which was what put me off the last one. Might see if anywhere's doing the first game dirt cheap right now. Also, first game let you play as Daft Punk, this one lets oyu play as Deadmau5, complete with big red mouse head.
