Random Telly Babblings.
Nov. 9th, 2010 05:30 pmCraig Ferguson highlights, Dick Van Dyke being awesome and explaining why his cockney accent was rubbish in Mary Poppins (his voice coach was Irish), Dr. Cornel West, guy I'd never heard of before talking really interestingly about faith and stuff. Also Juliette Lewis, god I'd forgotten just how sexy her voice is.
Nell comntinues to be awesome in NCIS:LA and she looks really cute in a hardhat and luminous jacket.
Enjoying Avengers:Earth's Mightiest Heroes, they've gone with ostly the archetypical versions of the main characters, although Tony Stark's performance is certainly based on RObert Downey Jr's version. Just spotting obscure chracters in the background and seeing how so far they've bene inspired by the original Avengers comic storylines is fun.
I honestly hurt after Never Mind The Buzzcocks. They had Jedward on, them counting as one guest. I have thankfully managed to avoid Jedward save for a brief clip of them on a Charlie Brooker show. Has there ever been a pair of more useless, idiotic, annoying wankstains on the underpants of humanity? Possibly not, but in the context of the show, teamed with Noel and with Jack Dee and Phil barely hiding their contempt, it was hilarious. I would gladly never see them or especially hear them ever, ever again though.
Watched Prince Of Darkness again at the weekend. I felt the need to watch a John Carpenter movie and I knew I'd watched Halloween and The Fog relatively recently, which wouldn't stop me watching either of them again as there's something about many of Carpenter's movies that mean I can happily watch them again and again and again. I hadn't watched PoD in a while, it was one of the last of his movies I saw, because before I saw it, I'd always assumed it was a vampire movie and not the wierd sci-fi tinged movie it is. It's always a treat top watch Donald PLeasance...except maybe in Pumaman and I love Victor Wong. It also led to me finding all my John Carpenter soundtracks and shoving them on the iPod.
Plus, y'know...Alice Cooper as a hobo.
