Waiting on "emergency" dental appointment for toothache. Yet again. Every few months I try and register with a dentist in town and none of them are ever taking on NHS patients. At least this time I just have to travel to Arbroath rather than Dundee when I get an appointment.

SATA enclosure's been despatched, so should find out if I can recover the 500Gb games drive before the end of theweek. If I can't, I'll just continue on short of a drive until March. I can get a usable drive for another £35 or so but that'd be coming right out of my Redemption budget. If the drive itself isborked, going to have to reinstall/redownload a whole bunch of stuff.
Fallout New Vegas continues to be awesome. Around twenty-two hours in,had two freezes and one glitch that fixed itself. Finished off Veronica's questline and it makes mewant to pick up other companions and see what their questlines are like, but I don't want to get rid of Veronica, even temporarily. After the last bit, I know for definite who I'd like to side with if possible. I've literally a dozen things I could go and do nowthat aren't the main questline, from recruiting escorts (looking for a sexbot right now) to recovering dead bodies, from sneaking through a cave full of rodents of unusual size, to getting a new sherrif for a town. It is awesomes. The writing and voice acting are possibly better than Fallout 3 and Veronica has actually managed to push Tali aside as my favourite videogame sidekick of 2010.
Apart from that, most gaming's been upgraded and souped up versions of old games. Got Quake and Quake 2 running with upgraded engines and textures, along with Descent 1 & 2, which withthe complete CD soundtracks and a 360 controller are amazing to play. Descent 1/2 on XBLA please? Also Monkey Island 1 & 2 special editions, which are both wonderful and still make me laugh. I haved a bunch of adventure games still to play. Speaking of which, Back To The Future ep1? Awesome. They've just gotten it <i>right</i>.
I've gone PC gaming again due to the Steam sale, lovely indie games and the possibility, however remote, I may have my own room when wemove house. In which case, Simon getsthe telly and 360since the telly's his and the 360 is half his. The folks will likely still need the old modded XBox for video stuff, soI'll be mainly on the PC for games.
