Geekfest

Lovely evening yesterday geeking out with an old friend who'll be joining me as regular co-host on the podcast I'm doing. Five hours of chatting about everything from movies to depression to the next generation of games consoles to pinball ro "How did you track down a copy of that?"

Thanks to Stephen I now have a bunch of recent Doctor Who DVDs to watch, including two stories I've never seen (Reign Of Terror and Planet Of Giants) two I've only seen a couple of episodes of (Mind Of Evil and Sensorites, the latter i fell asleep watching the VHS years back) and Ambassadors Of Death which I've probably seen all of through various convention video rooms over the years but never all at once.

Been rereading some of my favourite Batman stories in the shop, Long Halloween and Dark Victory this week, which remain fantastic.

Hay fever continues to cause havoc and I don't mean a stunt team smashes in through the window and I'm replaced by Terry Walsh in a wig.
