Ok, so got a tenner from mum and a tenner from dad (who said to use it to get a takeaway from The Nemesis and use the rest for foods, but I used it all for foods so got enough stuff to last me until at least Tuesday.

The best thing to come out of this is that apart from one slightly teary moment, I@ve managed to keep my head together throughout and haven't done anything silly.

Unless putting the hall cupboard door back on myself counts. Dad is feeling better on the whole so might get carpet fitted before end of month. If that's done, I can handle anything else, I think.

Ok, there has been some fun moments this week...

Joke weapons in Warriors Orochi 3 - each character has six(?) unlockable weapons in the game and one of the top-tier ones is usually a wee bit silly, ranging from bars of chocolate, books, playing cards, a 50's sci-fi ray gun, to what was my favourite, a giant ice cream cone. Except the snowman on a rope is now my favourite.

Discovering old movie by now rather well known people. The eighties comedy DC Cab (or Street Fleet as it was released in the UK) which I remember had Mr T and Gary Busey in it, but have now discovered the lead character is played by none other than Jayne Cobb, Hero Of Canton, or Adam Baldwin as he's more usually known. Not only that, but it was written and directed by Joel Schumacher and has a soundtrack by Giorgio Moroder.

Also finding out that the movie my Cousin Alan used to go on about, with Michael Caine as a bloke who loses his hand which then goes on a killing spree was not a figment of his imagination, but wa The Hand (1981) written and directed by Oliver Stone. Also, an early soundtrack by James Horner. The whole thing's on YouTube - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KJol6YhAvGk

I was picking up a prescription and saw a 1-10 pain chart above the counter and burst out laughing, to the slight consternation of the member of staff serving me. I had to explain I had seen a slightly sillier (and more accurate) one on the internet, which can be seen here - http://hyperboleandahalf.blogspot.co.uk/2010/02/boyfriend-doesnt-have-ebola-probably.html

Mythbusters and QI, al;ways Mythbusters and QI. Noel Fielding was on QI this week, next to Ross Noble. Silliness ensued. Noel was also wearing a silly hoodie.
