Got stuff done.
Feb. 1st, 2015 01:05 amEpisode 14 of the podcast has been recorded, mostly a wee look back at 2014 and a run through the rest of the last series of Doctor Who.
Been playing the first levels of all the James Bond games released on 360, just to make sure they all work okay. HIt a problem with 007 Legends as Activision took all their Bond stuff off digital stores sometime last year, including the free Skyfall DLC that was missing from the game on release because they rushed it out. I'd played the Goldeneye Reloaded demo a while back so knew it was decent, Legends is alright, nothing special. Quantum Of Solace was surisingly good, had heard a lot of negative stuff about it and had always assumed it was a third person shooter but it's actually a first person shooter that goes to third person when you're in cover.
The most pleasant surprise was Bloodstone, which was the last game Bizarre Creations did and it is really good, they put their driving game experience to good use in the chase sequences and the shooty parts feel really good and it feels like a spiritual successor to the Everything Or Nothing and From Russia With Love games from the PS2/original XBox era.
