1. This week's episodes of The Flash and Elementary were fantastic, couldn't quite believe the movue being referenced in the latter and THe Flash felt like an end of season episode, bunch of reveals but how much they effect the rest of the season we'll have to wait and see.

2. I completed Resident Evil Revelations 2, I am thoroughly happy with how everything ended and what got unlocked. I'm now back messing around in Raid Mode. Seems I've played about thirty-seven hours in the game and twenty of tyhat is likely Raid Mode. Not bad for a "bonus" mode. There's also a sequel hook l;eft there as a very important question is never addressed. Hoping to see Revelations 3 at some point.

3. I also completed the original Bioshock, I'd had something major spoiled due to a comedy webseries, which did have me laughing inappropriately when the moment came, but there were still enough plot twists in there to surprise me. Game glitched out at the end so rather than seeing the aftermatch of the final boss fight, I only heard it while staring at the floow/wall. Got the good ending which was a lovely short sequence.

4. I was completing that since the second free game with XBL Gold this month is Bioshock Infinite, which I didn't get at the time since I was saving for a 3DS and then moving house. It was one of those games, like Tomb Raider 2013 that I almost picked up in sales a few times but never quite got round to it.

The game world is magnificent, a loating city in the sky in 1912 and the attention to detail and art design make it an absolute joy to explore. There's so many things hinting that something is off about everything and like TOmb Raider, there's a very uncomfortable moment leading to violence and instant retribution.

It also has possibly my favourite videogame sidekick since Alyx Vance in Half Life 2, it's obvious a lot of work went into making her more than another AI buddy and there have been many moments I've just stood around, watching her go and look at stuff or interact with parts of the world. I've already stopped doing execution moves on enemies entirely due to Elizabeth's short, horrified response and there's a moment that made me feel like the biggest arsehole in videogame history.

I also want a plush Songbird.

5. Yep, more videogames, been a game playing sort of week. Loving a couple of retro styled platform games on the 3DS - Shovel Knight is a love letter to 8-bit platformers like Mega Man and Castlevania, while Shantae & The Pirate's Curse is like an ode to 16-bit platformers like Aladdin and Earthworm Jim. Both look and sound fantastic and I love having a couple of games that are just so videogamey as a side dish to the deeper experiences I've been playing on the 360.
