Friday fi....no wait, Saturday three.
Jun. 20th, 2015 09:55 pm1. E3 happened and was a mixture. Sony announced three things at 3am (The Last Guardian, Final Fantasy VII Remake and Shenmue III) that led me to suspect Jeremy Beadle had returned from beyond the grave and was pranking us all. He wasn't. Nintendo didn't have much and as a 3DS owner, I was very disappointed. Although I will buy the hell out of Hyrule Warriors when it comes out.
They announced a Metroid game. Which can suck my balls. To try to explain my disappointment with the new Metroid game, imagine you'd been waiting for Buckaroo Banzai Against The World Crime League and they then announced Buckaroo Banzai:BLue Blaze Irregulars, featuring generic characters jsut running around shooting stuff, ignoring all the stuff that made the original movie a classic? And then they dressed everyone up in mascot suits with big heads?
It's been eleven years since the last proper 2D Metroid and eight since the last proper Metroid Prime game. Lots of developers are doing really good Metroid style games, it's a constant disappointment that Nintendo won't do one.
2. They released some pics of the new Ghostbusters. My childhood has not been ruined and McCarthy, McKinnon, Wigg and jones have not broken into my house and destroyed all my copies of the original films. Fandom needs to chill out. Already a fan of McKinnon's look, thinking she's the Egon of the new team.
3. I have been playing a bunch of Monster Hunter 4U, Fantasy Life and Animal Crossing last couple of days while listening to E3 podcasts and shows. Sadly I can't take proper pics of MH4U, ( but here's what I did today. )
