Saturday Six!
Aug. 15th, 2015 03:51 pm1. Health has been...not great. LEthargy, aches and tiredness all continue. Trying to get out and half a decent walk everyday but it's been difficult.
2. I got a free month of the WWE Network and have been watching old wrestling stuff and having a great time. There's some nice archival shows, like Legends Of Wrestling where I watched one all abot managers and one about the worst character gimmicks. ALso the Monday Night wars, documenting the WWF/WCW rivalry of 96-01. Some great laughs and stuff I'd never seen there.
3. Also wrestling related, Lucha Underground had its finale and me and Simon are really hoping they confirm a second season soon as it's been fantastic., SOme great moments in the Ultima Lucha event and an off-hand comment I'd made, half-jokingly about how a storyline should end...actually happened and it was awesome.
4. I also got a free Audible trial and chose Felicia Day's book as my free audiobook. I've been listening to lots of podcasts while playing Diablo III/Destiny/Earth Defence Force 2025 and I'm a big fan of Felicia's stuff.
5. I'm meant to be watching all of Doctor Who S20 in preperation for podcasting this week, since it's Ep20, we're doing Who's 20th anniversary. Only problem is...S20 is not exactly the most exciting or interesting season, in fact it was the start of a couple of years where I missed a good number of episodes due being out playing with friends during the wek and just not being that bothered at missing episodes.
6. Been trawling through a huge amount of 70s/80s movie trailers and ads after being inspired by Hammered Horror's custom trailer reels made for their presentations at Nine Worlds. (http://www.hammeredhorror.net/?p=1720) I'm imagining the sort of thing we'd show if we had a Parts Unknown Movie Club (something I might have tried at Redemption if I'd made it the last two times) In the meantime, here's a quick one knocked up for the movies covered in the last episode of the podcast.
