May. 16th, 2015 04:23 pm1. Telly show seasons are ending, was fine with Gotham and SHIELD, both closed well and left stuff open for next season. NCIS ended with an evil cliffhanger and I'm expecting NCIS:LA to as well. NCIS:NO ended nicely, wrapping stuff up and leaving noone in danger. Elementary...I really didn't like how it ended but that's a discussion for another time.
2. Lego Jurassic World is coming out next month.
Really looking forward to this as I love the Lego games and also you get to play as the dinosuars in some bits. Double win. I will have to watch JP2 and JP3 beforehand though as I've definitely seen bits of the second but not the whole thing and not seen the third.
3. They announced a Doctor Who pack and level for the Lego Dimensions game. I took one look at the thirty quid price for the add-on and that was it. I have a dislike for games like Skylanders and Disney:Infinity that lock parts of the game away behind buying physical toys. I don't mind paying £10--15 for a season pass for a bunch of add on characters and levels (the £12 Lego Batman 3 one gets you six new levels and about twenty new characters for example) but this wallet busting collecting game stuff can bugger off.
4. The local shop has big bags of burger bite crisps, two for a pound. I love that type of crisp and these ones are nice and melty and don't scrape the roof of your mouth when youcrunch them.
5. They're releasing Scooby Doo Lego in a couple of months, I need the Mystery Machine. Hopefully I'll have the Ghostbusters set by then so I can display them together. Only annoyance is you can only get a Velma minifig with the largest and most expensive set.
6. I saw the promos for the Supergirl and Legends Of Tomorrow telly shows. I'm not the target audience for Supergirl but I think it looks alright, LoT I'm really looking forward too as I love The Flash and I'm starting watching Arrow from the start. Plus I like Arthur Darvill so him turning up as time traveller Rip Hunter is good.

It's a continuing problem with LEgo stuff in that aprt from the wee blind bags you can buy you can't buy figures individually, so if you're after a certain character, like Aayla Secura or Velma, you're kind of out of luck. The Mystery Machine set comes with Scooby, Shaggy, Fred, a zombie and a monster tree, I'd happily ditch the monstaers just to have the full gang.
Another of the reasons I love the Lego videogames is that they're not restricted by cost or popularity of a character so if I want to run around New York as Rescue and Squirrel Girl, I can.
Similarly Lego:Lord Of The Rings turned into Arwen & Eowyn's Excellent Adventures and the majority of my Lego Star Wars playthrough involved Aayla Secura and Zam Wessel, two characters who's entire screen time in the movies is under ten minutes.
6. It certainly has potential and I'll try a few episodes at least, trying not to start too many new shows as I@m at about my limit of stuff I can keep up with and even then, I've still all of this season of Sleepy Hollow to watch at some point.

Date: 2015-05-18 03:34 pm (UTC)crying out loudmuttering under my breath! Shame that Lego had a chance to pass the Bechtel test, and decided to fail.6. Well, having more TV you like than you can keep up with is a happier circumstance than being inundated with TV you hate.
