1. The heatwave continues here, been hitting 18-20C the last four days. Luckily Tesco is a few minutes walk away and they do nice cheap tubs of ice cream, so got a tub of Neopolitan in the freezer.
2. One of the houses across the road has a plant/small tree growing out of one of the chimneys, likely it's been filled in for years and a seagull has dropped a seed into it, but it led to me walking down the street trying to decide if it was a wierd TV ariel or not.
3. Been looking into little bits and pieces of Japanese culture again due to watching anime, I'd already gone into the whole Lucky Cat thing in the past and now it's the Daruma/Dharma Doll thing that's grabbed my attention due to a couple of them lying around in Nichijou. The whole filling in only one eye thing is kind of covered but not explained and painting John Lennon style sunglasses on one because you messed up painting the other eye in is probably not respectful.
4. I finally, finally got round to watching The Girl Who Leapt Through Time last night. Fantastic stuff and the thought of using a time leap to repeat a one hour karaoke box session into a ten hour marathon amused me greatly.
5. I have bene binging somewhat on Adventure Time. Only started the second season and it's wonderfully mental. The bit that finally broke me was quite innocuous compared with most of the show but it was the whywholves explaining how they'll multiply, take over the world and then all get eaten by the Cosmic Space Owl. That set off a laughing fit.
