Random short updates.
Aug. 19th, 2013 12:06 pmDid quick registration with people to help me get back into work who are not the hopeless work programme. Do full registration next week and again, can do it in the office across the road.
Didn't get the job I interviewed for last week. Which is a shame as it's another one I think I would have quite liked.
Toilet has been a bit wobbly and leaky, but phoned council and someone'll be round to fix it in next day or two. It's not bad and a towel's sorted the flor out, but still nice things get fixed quickly.
Have still not got carpet in living room fitted or more stuff brought to the flat, but dad's had some medical issues recently, nothing too bad, but perfectly understandable he hasn't been up to ocming round. Right now, the flat is definitely my flat, but not quite my home, which to be honest, isn't somehting I've felt I've had for a long time now.
Rather than getting round to my blu-ray/DVD/streaming backlog, I've been watching far to omuch Japanese comedy. Yes, it's not for everybody, but I've gotten some amazing laughs out of the batsu games in particular.
This has also renewed my interest in Japan in general, got a couple of books to read and wishing my copy of Yokai Attack! wasn't in storage. WIsh I could find osme decent documentaries, Jonathan Ross' Japanorama was fun, but concentrated on the gratuitous rather than the good a bit much.
Russia, Mark Millar and people who hate Dragon Age 2 and force one of the writers to quit her job are now on my shitlist. Millar's actually on it twice, but for two different reasons.
Normally around this time of year, I'd be planning which games I'm buying over the holiday period, but because my financial situation is rather worse, I've cut it down to one and that's going to be Lego:Marvel Superheroes because unlike so-called "proper" gamers, I like fun.
