Television.
Feb. 6th, 2014 04:13 pmStill got a bad cold. Have managed to keep up my afternoons in Oxfam but more or less collapsing in front of the telly as soon as I get home. This has at least meant I'm virtually caught up with television.
Agents Of SHIELD is still slowly improving, but coming back after a couple of weeks break, having a bit of a wham episode ending on a cliffhanger then it being a month until the next episode airs doesn't really do you any good. Also, spoiling interesting things out of desperation to try and get people watching and calling those who gave up on the series losers *really* doesn't help. Kind of expecting it to get cancelled after one season to be honest and I doubt I'd miss it. At least we have Bill Paxton showing up for a few episodes.
NCIS and NCIS:LA continue to entertain although I have moaned a bit at some of the cliches showing up.
The Tomorrow People continues to be very interesting, nice to see a certain actor show up for a few scenes, a surprise to hear a certain voice and really my only complaint is the near non-existence of a title sequence, considering how memorable the original was.
Sleepy Hollow entertained and surprised until the end.
I've heard they're making another attempt at an NCIS spin-off, after NCIS:Red didn't happen. NCIS:New Orleans has two things going for it, an interesting location, which I've actually visited and Scott Bakula in the lead. They're doing the backdoor pilot thing again like for LA and Red.
Have laughed myself silly at Rick & Morty which is like the adventures of Doc Brown and Marty McFly gone horribly, horribly wrong. It's on YouTube so easy to watch here.
I have Black Sails to try out and ten episodes or so of Mr & Mrs Murder and that's me up to date with live action stuff.
We shall not talk about the massive backlog of cartoons I have, okay?
