I volunteered to do an extra shift in Oxfam today because we weren;t sure there'd be enough people in. Turned out there was, but I stayed until 1pm anyways. Something that got brought in was a box with a bunch of PS2 games and a complete slim PS2 system with controllers.
Thing is, due to health and safety and that, we don't sell anything that need to be plugged into the mains. But as with the printer that came in a couple of weeks back, I asked if I could take it home to test and if it worked, put a few quid in the donations box.
It works perfectly, indeed it confirms my suspicion that my original model PS2 is on its way out after almost thirteen years of service. I bought a bunch of games from Oxfam a couple months back and only two worked, but every one loaded first time on the slim.
So a good day and more than worth getting up early for.
